Carols Special Announcement

The next Carols at the Oval will be in 2010.
 
Carols is a voluntary collaboration between locals at Cheers, Banksia Baptist, Neerabup Primary. Everyone has a good catchup, long conversations & a communal picnic. Hundreds of local people. It's such a relaxed & cheerful atmosphere. Our own local Santa comes, there's always a local feel & involvement between the crowd, & what happens up front. It's less a 'show' than a celebration. We celebrate the year that's been, the good that's happened, the significant blessings. 

That's why lots of local residents are sad to learn that we're not having Carols this year, but here's why:

• The school expects to be a construction site
• Banksia Baptist's volunteer force & resources were not big enough to completely set up on the oval
• Not enough help to tidy up after the fireworks. 

Carols is just local volunteers giving of their time, & effort for love. Which is what Christmas is about. Which is why it still has that spirit of Christmas and isn't over-professionalized, why it works so well! So Carols on the Oval WILL be back in 2010. And if there's something you can give, let us know.
